Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what DoctorMI collects, how that information is used, when it may be shared, and what choices users currently have in the live product.
1. What DoctorMI Is
DoctorMI is a digital health support platform. It allows users to create an account, store health-profile information, ask medically focused questions, upload documents, generate reports, and share selected information with clinicians when the user chooses to do so.
DoctorMI is not a hospital, emergency service, insurance product, or replacement for in-person clinical care. Using DoctorMI does not, by itself, create a doctor-patient relationship with DoctorMI.
2. Information We Collect
We collect account and identity information needed to operate the service, such as name, email address, sign-in details, user role, and account metadata.
We collect health-related information that users choose to enter, upload, or generate in the product, including profile details, symptoms, medications, allergies, medical history, lifestyle information, lab or imaging files, generated reports, and chat content.
We also collect technical and operational information such as device or browser information, timestamps, feature usage, session activity, and security logs used to maintain and protect the service.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate users, provide DoctorMI features, generate medically scoped AI responses, organize profile data, process uploads, create reports, support user-initiated report sharing, and operate moderation and safety controls.
We also use information to maintain reliability, troubleshoot issues, investigate misuse, enforce product rules, and meet legal or safety obligations.
4. AI and Service Providers
DoctorMI uses third-party providers to operate the product. Depending on the feature being used, information may be processed by hosting, authentication, storage, notification, analytics, document-processing, and AI model providers acting on our instructions.
When users submit health questions, upload files for analysis, or generate AI-assisted outputs, relevant content may be transmitted to those providers to fulfill the requested feature.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal health information.
We may disclose information when necessary to operate the service, comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or the public, investigate abuse, or enforce product policies.
If a user creates a secure report-sharing token, exports a report, or otherwise uses a sharing feature, we will disclose only the information included in that user-initiated workflow.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for an online health-support product, including authenticated access controls, encrypted network transport, role-based restrictions, and managed infrastructure services.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. For that reason, DoctorMI cannot promise that the service will always be fully secure or inaccessible to every unauthorized actor.
7. Medical and High-Risk Use
DoctorMI is intended for informational and organizational health support. It is not intended to provide emergency triage, a definitive diagnosis, or a substitute for professional medical judgment.
Users should not rely on DoctorMI alone for urgent or high-risk situations such as chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe breathing difficulty, severe allergic reactions, suicidal crisis, or other emergencies.
8. Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain records requested by the user, secure the platform, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
The current live product allows users to edit parts of their profile, remove certain content where the feature is available, and contact support with deletion or privacy requests. Some data may need to be retained for security, fraud-prevention, legal, or backup reasons.
9. User Choices
Users can choose whether to fill in optional profile fields, upload documents for analysis, generate reports, or share selected information with clinicians.
Users may contact support to request access, correction, or deletion assistance where applicable to their jurisdiction and use of the service.
10. Children
DoctorMI is not intended for use in a manner prohibited by child-privacy or age-based consent laws. If a minor uses the service, any required parental, guardian, or other lawful authorization must be handled outside the app by the responsible parties.
11. HIPAA and Regulated Deployments
This consumer product version of DoctorMI does not state that it acts as a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate for every use case.
If DoctorMI is later deployed for a regulated healthcare customer in a way that requires HIPAA or similar regulated handling, that deployment may require separate agreements, additional controls, and configuration that are not promised merely by consumer use of this app.
12. Contact and Updates
Privacy, support, and deletion requests can be sent to [email protected].
We may update this Privacy Policy as DoctorMI evolves. When required, updated terms will be made available in the app or through other appropriate notice.
